Abstract :
A kind of 4 × 4 circularly polarized plane microstrip antenna array which used in the Ku band direct broadcast satellite television receiving is designed and manufactured in this paper. The antenna array element of ¿H¿-shaped coupling slot, square radiation patch with truncated corner and coordinate rectangle knot is chosen. Based on the finite difference time domain (FDTD) for the antenna modeling, the methods of inhomogeneous grid, the ideal match of the border, additional survey box and so on are used. Data are obtained by numerical calculation. The experimental results are in good agreement with design parameters. Proposed the model and the analysis method as well as the obtained graph and data provide a reference for engineering practice in Ku band microstrip antenna array design and application.
