Abstract
An antenna design is presented for WLAN applications at the center frequencies of 5.2(5.15-5.35) GHz and 5.8(5.725-5.825) GHz. Patch antenna size reduction and reasonable bandwidth is achieved in this work. Four CSSRR have been etched in the ground plane to achieve dual band operation. The proposed antenna provides good flexibility on selection of dual frequency operation by modifying dimension of CSSRR and patch while capacitive matching has been achieved by gap coupling. The antenna was designed using CST V.12 simulator.
