Abstract
A method for obtaining the slow fading characteristics with data obtained from continuous wave (CW) test is presented in this paper. With the multiple linear regression method, two kinds of standard deviation of shadowing attenuation were provided and analyzed by use of propagation model calibration. The presented method is useful for radio planning and optimization of 3G network since it results in more localized fading characteristics. The results obtained are crucial for link budget, coverage prediction and Monte Carlo simulation of 3G network.
