New technology of distance education in China

It has been more than a decade from the former TV University to the current Internet university. Distance education in China uses the computer and internet as the basic tools, in combination with all kinds of web-based information techniques, supply students the education delivered by the top professors. It is not restricted by time, space, weather, and location. Therefore, it is very important in the field of education. The advantage of the computer-based distance education is apparent and irreplaceable. Today is the world of computer. The author applied her experience when studying in computer/web-based distance education program at Nanjing University, discussed the modern technology in computer/web-based distance education, and studied the advantages of other online education, compared it with TV distance education. Finally the author elaborated the goal of computer-based distance education and some improvements required.
