Research on domestic CO2 emissions from export products of industrial sectors in China

In this article, the related literatures about CO₂ emissions of import and export trade at home or abroad have been reviewed. After the input-output model has been modified and improved to eliminate the influence of CO₂ emissions abroad from import products in domestic intermediate investment, the article calculates the domestic CO₂ emissions and its intensity in export trade of industry sector in China in 1997 and 2007, finding that industry sectors of export products with CO₂ emissions in China are concentrated by comparison and that emission intensity in most sectors, especially in large-scale export sectors, has been improved. At last, the policy implications based on in-depth calculation on carbon emissions of industry sectors are proposed.
