Abstract :
Manufacturing enterprises usually have a large amount of feature parts of products in their own domain, and designers make variant design based on these feature parts very often. For this reality, this paper studies how to develop library of user defined feature parts on knowledge based engineering in order to realize design knowledge retaining and reusing, promote efficiency of product design, improve quality of product design, and set up the foundation of realizing intelligent rapid response design.
