Abstract
The physical-design of a novel power and communication bus, the Helios Prodigy System, is described. Some of the design requirements used during development as well as considerations for reliability testing are discussed. The Hellos Prodigy framework maintains the mounting/support dimensions of a traditional relay rack permitting the installation of other telecom equipment not connected directly onto the power and communication bus. A key element to this system flexibility is the novel power and communication bus which provides front accessible, plug-in capability to the entire portfolio of Hellos Prodigy power system modules. This power and communication bus assembly is designed to provide continuous and current scalable connectivity regardless of a module´s vertical location in the equipment bay
