Abstract
A circuit method using a current transformer is proposed as a method to drive secondary synchronous rectification in DC-DC converters. The proposed method can solve the problem of insufficient driving voltage in synchronous rectification and the problem of reverse current from load side in converters. In this paper, the circuit configuration of the synchronous rectification method using the proposed current transformer is shown, circuit operations are clarified, and the proposed circuit is compared with other synchronous rectification methods. Moreover, the usefulness of the proposed method is proved in a simulation and by experiment
