  • Abstract
    This paper presents the using of the converter with SMES to ensure the dynamic (transient) stability of power system. The force commutated converter ensures the power transfer between SMES and power system by the use of microprocessor based control system that realizes spacevector PWM algorithm. It is given the approximate calculation of the required SMES power. Also the results of computer simulation are presented.
