Abstract :
One of the most important purposes of reliability assessment of distribution network is reducing interruptions for customer service. In this paper reliability of large distribution network of a city is calculated based on probabilistic method. After analysis the reliability indexes, some solutions are introduced to improve weak zones. By comparing results and using simple approaches we can improve reliability of system without any significant additional cost and it is clearly showed that the benefits of these assessments in design or development stage.
