Abstract :
This paper establishes a hardware-in-the-loop realtime simulation system of long stator linear synchronous motor (LSM) drive with neutral point clamp (NPC) 3-level AC-DC-AC converter for high speed maglev train. The dynamic model of the LSM supplied by two parallel converters is described in detail. Hardware configuration, simulation algorithms and system model based on dSPACE real-time simulation platform are proposed. The NPC 3-level rectifier and inverter, and LSM models are simulated independently. Furthermore, the LSM drive system can be simulated by cascading each model´s input and output interfaces directly. It is an effective scheme to simplify the entire system model.
