We report the demonstration of > kW peak power from an all-semiconductor mode-locked laser extreme chirped pulse amplification(XCPA) system implemented with a chirped fiber Bragg grating as an extreme pulse stretcher/compressor. Also, we investigate the nonlinear behavior in the XCPA system implemented with a single mode fiber pre-stretcher
