Abstract :
The growing concerns on environmental issues and the recent advances in PEM fuel cell technologies have allowed the fuel cell powered electric vehicle to be one of the most promising alternatives for the development of low emission and fuel efficient vehicles. To overcome the limitations on the current battery and fuel cell technologies, there have been various studies seeking additional alternative solutions. One of the major alternatives is the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). This paper presents a hybrid model of fuel cell and battery power system and shows its usefulness through the simulation results
