Abstract :
A numerical simulation with variable topology of an electrical system including a synchronous GTO rectifier, a buck power converter and a 5-level GTO inverter supplying an induction machine is presented using the SIPNET circuit analysis package. The modelling of the power converter is based on commutation cells described by Petri nets to clarify the energetic conversion through the overall system. The cage induction machine is modelled using Park transformation and controlled sources. No assumptions are made about the machine supplying mode. Results are given and show the generality and the accuracy of the methods used
