Abstract :
With new approaches to implementation of high speed computer communication networks there is a need for control of resources on these networks. Traditional controllers are difficult to design for these applications because of the complex nature of network dynamics. We describe a fuzzy systems formulation for resource management in high speed networks and illustrate its applications. We discuss performance of the approach and deal with the difficulties of distributed control in high speed network environments
