Abstract
This article presents a study on a Torus machine employed in regenerative braking for electric vehicles. The machine is analyzed with focus on its specific characteristics compared to existing analysis. The static and dynamic tests of the machine for two formats of NdFeB permanent magnets considered are presented and compared to the results of a finite element analysis. The results outline the promising aspects for future implementation in a vehicle.
