Abstract :
In this paper, we design a rapidly tunable and flexible arrayed-waveguide-grating (AWG)-based coding device, utilizing the wavelength periodicity of AWG, for wavelength-time OCDMA systems. Together with our new family of wavelength-time optical codes, the new design supports high data-rate OCDMA systems, in which the number of time slots is less than the number of available wavelengths.
