Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new detailed placement algorithm including legalization and optimization for mixed-mode IC designs. The main contributions of this paper include the following: 1) It proposes a reliable mixed-mode legalization scheme algorithm which ensure to find a feasible placement. 2) It gives a linear programming mode which can find optimal solution for fixed-order cells in a segment. 3) A flow that combines the Cells Swap and Cells Reorder technique to reduce the wirelength. The proposed algorithm is tested on mPL6 global placement on the ISPD02 benchmarks. Experimental results show that the algorithm can get the expected solution.
