Abstract :
This document explains the principles and the practices of constructing a software package that provides dynamic engine simulation for use with jet engine test systems. Emphasis has been placed on retrofitting the simulation software into pre-existing test systems, while effectively managing the constraints posed by test system environmental factors, such as the speed and storage capabilities of the test hardware. The simulation of facility factors such as the hardware controls and the data acquisition hardware used on the test systems has also been addressed
