Abstract :
Analysis and current control using pseudo deadbeat controller (PDC) for the buck dc-dc converter is proposed in this paper. The conventional deadbeat current controller, reported in the literature, exhibit sub-harmonic oscillations and it may lead to instability in the event of parameter changes. To avoid such problems a pseudo deadbeat controller is proposed in this paper, which gives almost first order current control response together with robust performance against converter parameter variation. Small-signal discrete-time models are formulated for the converter and then deadbeat current control laws are established. PDBC performance is simulated and then compared with the experimental observations. These studies show that the proposed PDBC resulting better dynamic response together with robust performance against parameter variation.
