Abstract :
Ultrawideband (UWB) radar is an evolving area of great interest with many potential defense and civilian applications. Broadly, UWB waveforms could be classified into non-random and random waveform categories; both nonlinear and linear frequency modulated (LFM) and typical coded waveforms fall in the former category, while random noise-like and pseudorandom noise-like waveforms are the examples of the latter. Since the waveforms transmitted by the radar systems can affect the target detection, accuracy, resolution, ambiguities, and clutter rejection, etc., there is a great interest to design and implement various transmit waveforms with predetermined criteria.
