Abstract :
This work presents a better-detailed study and THD analysis of the modulation technique previously described in [1] which is applied in total harmonic distortion reduction for the three-level flying capacitor multilevel inverter. The modulation technique showed an improvement in the power quality by the combination of two modulation techniques: HE-PWM and CSV-PWM. For the proposed method validation is presented a THD analysis and the experimental results are shown concerning a three-level 6 kW 0.92 power factor flying capacitor inverter. The THD experimental results presented line voltage around 42.09% and phase voltage around 79.06%.
