Abstract
This paper presents the design and performance of the three phase PWM voltage power converter connected to the AC mains when used as an active power filter and unbalanced current compensator. The system performance in the steady state is analyzed with the aid of the symmetrical components method. The Park´s phasor for the direct and inverse components is obtained. The paper proposes some expressions for the determination of the system components and maximum steady state DC voltage. Experimental results from a 2 kVA prototype showing the steady state system performance are presented
