Abstract :
IEEE802.11 standard specifies three non-interfering channels for the 2.4GHz band. These channels may not interfere with each other even if they are used within the same environment. However, our laboratory experiments indicate that these channels still exhibit some level of interference. We evaluate the impact of interference in multi-hop/multi-radio wireless mesh networks (WMN). We also propose interference cancellation circuit to achieve higher throughput. Various field experiments where performed to validate the proposed solution for interference suppression in order to achieve enhanced performance compared to the normal multi hop WMN.
