Abstract :
A novel improved adaptive filter is presented is this paper for extraction of fundamental components of voltage and current signals. The filter uses the concept of least square method to cancel the distortions. Mathematical analysis of the proposed filter is described. The application of this filter includes active filters, UPS systems, and other power quality conditioners. The simulation and experimental results of the system are also presented to verify the viability of this filter
