Abstract :
In this paper, a novel topology of APFC with on-line half-bridge UPS controlled by DSP is presented. The operation principle is analyzed. In order to improve the dynamic response feature of APFC and make the design of LC filter easy, improved current hysteretic control is proposed. A digital control scheme based on DSP is presented. The control model of APFC is simulated with Matlab. In order to verify the analysis, a prototype with 50 Hz/220V/2.2 kW is developed. The simulation and experimental results show the PF of the proposed topology is approximate to 1
