Abstract :
Computational mathematics is a proven powerful tool of penetrating the barrier of nonlinearity of dynamical systems. It is capable of solving highly complex nonlinear problems that cannot be tackled using analytical approaches. Computational methods are portable because a user-friendly computational algorithm is able to solve, not one, but a family of nonlinear problems. The rapid development of todays computer technology makes real-time computation affordable and effective. In this paper, we harness several computational methods of both estimation and control that were introduced separately in the literature to integrate them into a unified closed-loop control architecture that is applicable for a general family of control systems.
