Abstract :
Various types of position sensorless control methods for a switched reluctance motor (SRM) based on the measurement of the current and/or the voltage have been published past ten years. Author tried to review as many papers as possible and put them into six categories; (1) open loop, (2) passive waveform detection, (3) incremental inductance measurement, (4) flux/current method, (5) observer, (6) mutual inductance measurement. The basic principles are summarized with a list of literatures
