Abstract :
The starbyte transformation was introduced to extract accurate control points for breast image registration. This paper studies how the accuracy of these extracted control points is affected by addition of noise to the original images. It is seen that the algorithm is robust and stable in the presence of noise, and that accurate control points are still extractable under noisy conditions
