Abstract :
In recent years, the research of remote experiments has become increasingly significant due to the demands for online education and the industrial need for training. With the development of internet high bandwidth access and virtual instrument technology ( LabVIEW ), The advanced LabVIEW can be used to achieve the remote equipmentspsila monitoring and control under a vivid graphical programming environment. In this paper, a distributed system of optical experiment for BER (Bit-Error-Rate) and eye diagram by remote control and measurement over internet was designed. As the given experiment example, the architecture and modules of distributed system for realization was presented. The students away from the lab environment can conveniently remote configure the experiment condition and parameters. All kinds of the online measured graphical results and experimental data can be shown in the front panel over internet. This remote distributed experiment system is reliable and applied.
