Abstract
Since the introduction of S-shaped resonator (SSR), it has been gaining importance in the field of left handed materials (metamaterials). In this paper, an approach to change the working frequency of metamaterial is presented by varying the inductances, which is achieved by changing the heights of rings of SSR. This change in height is accomplished by using switches. This technique for tuning metamaterials can be used in various microwave applications.
