Abstract :
Recent demand in personal wireless communications is toward device miniaturization and multi-band operations. The paper proposes a dual-band miniaturized printed antenna on an FR4 substrate for IEEE 802.11a/b applications. The antenna resembles a double printed F in shape, including inductive tuning arms. The proposed antenna occupies an area of about 20 mm by 8 mm. An antenna prototype was designed and fabricated with reasonable impedance bandwidth and good range of coverage.
