Author_Institution :

Abstract :
This paper discusses recent developments in the technical and commercial arrangements associated with the development of distributed generation (DG) in the UK environment. In particular, DG has been included in the design philosophy of distribution networks through an update of distribution network standards. Furthermore, there has been change in the network access arrangements with shallow connection replacing traditional deep connection policy. The paper discusses the methodology on which the new network security standards are being developed and discuss the key issues associated with structure of charging for distribution network
