Abstract
In this work we present the design and realization of a custom-made optical interferometer, aimed at detection of forced oscillations on the human respiratory system. Due to the very low signal, we implemented a novel dedicated detection algorithm. The preliminary results obtained are in good agreement with the ones provided by standard motion analysis systems, also showing a better sensitivity for the optical interferometer.
