Abstract :
An analysis of a single-element microstrip patch antenna with four edge-slots and shorting pins is proposed for reconfigurable operation in this study. The proposed antenna covers 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz bands with multi-band that are caused by the positions of the shorting pins and the dimension of the edge-slots. The substrates used are the general Taconic TLC. As a result, this paper presents possibility for the design of optimizing to select the required bandwidth for the multi-band application of WLAN in IEEE 802.11 a/b/g.
