Abstract :
A consecutive DFT method for instantaneous oscillating phasor measurement is proposed in this paper. The proposed method is based on one cycle DFT and applies three consecutive DFT values for phasor measurement. First, an analysis of standard DFT based phasor measurement method under low frequency oscillations is given. Then a method to eliminate the phasor measurement errors is proposed based on the relation among three consecutive DFT values. Due to its high precision and low required processing effort, the proposed algorithm is a good candidate for online phasor measurement under low frequency oscillation transient conditions.
