Abstract :
To estimate the life cycle cost for overhead lines, this paper established a 3-dimensional cost model of life cycle cost with life cycle breakdown, product breakdown structure and cost breakdown structure. Based on the model, this paper defined the cost elements of overhead lines, analyzed the influence of overhead lines´ characteristics, learning curves and maintenance routine period on life cycle cost. Finally the model is applied to an instance to estimate various cost categories in each life phase, which were summed up to the life cycle cost of the overhead lines.
