Abstract :
One of the most important problems in the design of modern photovoltaic cells is increasing their efficiency. The solution of this problem is connected with an investigation of new types of solar cells as well as optimization of the output characteristics of present devices. In this paper, a formulation of the problem and a one-dimensional (1D) simulation technique developed for computer modelling and optimization of the high-efficiency silicon solar cells is discussed
