  • Abstract
    In this paper, PEC/PMC strips are used model a rectangular waveguide with an ideal hard surface. The procedure of obtaining the electric dyadic Green´s function for an ideal hard surface rectangular waveguide is briefly presented. The field distribution plots of TEM modes are shown at cross-section planes of the ideal hard surface rectangular waveguide. To confirm the field plots obtained from the ideal hard surface waveguide model, a realistic hard surface waveguide simulated using Ansoft HFSS is presented
