Abstract :
Interaction of two counterpropagating coherent transverse-electric electromagnetic waves in the absorbing plate, placed in a waveguide of arbitrary cross section, is considered. It is supposed, that the waves with various initial phases incident on the boundaries of the plate from two sides. The analytical expression for the power transmission interference coefficient is found. Some physical features of tunnel interference in a plate are revealed.
