  • Abstract
    Theoretical analysis about the optical insertion loss of the SCIIB fiber optic sensor is presented in this paper. Both Gaussian and uniform distribution model are considered in describing the optical energy distribution on the reflecting fiber endface. Theoretical calculation results are compared with the experiment results so that we could have a deep understanding about the optical insertion loss, which is related to optical energy distribution on the reflecting fiber endface.
