Abstract :
In this paper, the alternating-phase fed array with the latticed plate is proposed to improve the antenna efficiency. A waveguide slot with a rectangular cavity, which is an element of the array, is analyzed by the MoM and the influences of the cavity on the slot coupling is discussed. One basis function assumed on the cavity aperture gives accurate results in case that the cavity height ch is over a quarter wavelength and that the cavity width ah is smaller than a half wavelength. It is revealed that the conventional design technique for the resonant slots is available to the proposed array
