Abstract :
The purpose of this work was to develop a procedure for fabricating electroceramic actuators with good piezoelectric properties. The preparation of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) piezoelectric ceramic rods and tubes by extrusion processing are described. The microstructure of the extruded materials was investigated in relation to different processing conditions. Finally, measurements of density and dielectric and piezoelectric properties are reported and analyzed
