Abstract :
The software architecture for a layered, networked mass-storage system is presented. The InfiniteStorage Architecture (ISA) was designed to provide automated, transparent access to massive amounts of online data in a heterogeneous network computing environment. Architectural components are described, and factors relating to implementation are discussed.<>
