A portable wireless image receiving system for the capsule endoscope

Wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) is a new technology to examine the gastrointestinal tract. However, it takes a WCE about eight hours on average to complete a test for a patient. In this paper, we design a portable image receiving system and it can receive, save and view the image when capsule endoscopes working in a patients´ gastrointestinal tract. Compared to the WCE yielded by Given Imaging, the first company around the world producing WCE, it is more convenient to check gastrointestinal tract because we can check the real-time images. Some preliminary experimental results show the feasibility of the proposed design scheme for WCE.
