Abstract :
The basic task of Major Function Oriented Zone (MFOZ) is to optimize the structure of national land use. The research is concentrated on the process of applying 3S technologies. Based on the analysis of the need, identity, and content, we investigate the theory foundation and appliance of various 3S technologies, including database, model-base, spatial analysis, spatial multi-criteria decision, cellular automaton, during the coordination of MFOZ planning and land use management from different aspects. These aspects include data acquirement, integration management, spatial evaluation, partition and coordination of different areas, assistant decision and intelligent appliance. Especially, the research focuses on the systematic analysis of the appliance of 3S technologies to realize the guiding macro-function of MFOZ and exert the adjusting function of land use in order to provide a technical reference for land use and management based on MFOZ planning.
