Abstract :
A multi-shaped slope-UTD algorithm that provides more accurate and uniform field predictions over terrain irregularities. The careful selection of multi-shaped objects along the same path profile outperforms modeling techniques that employ the same kind of canonical shapes even though they are based on a similar diffraction theory. Among the different representations, the cylinders offer the best accuracy for slow-varying terrain irregularities whereas the wedge and knife-edge representation perform better in fast-varying terrain profiles
