Abstract :
This article deals with the simulation of the line segment with a length of 3km and with origin of stray current in its vicinity. The simulation model is created using a line that is at the ends supply by sources with voltage of 3.3kV. These sources are realized by bridge rectifier with transformers that regulate a voltage level. On this line is simulated start and stop of DC motor, which represent a traction motor. During operating the motor electric current flows into the rail, which part of it flows into the ground and flows through the individual ground layers. Ground layer are inserted into subsystems in the simulation to better orientation in the entire simulation model. Individual results of these subsystems are shown in the graphs. Sizes of ground currents are mainly influenced by their own resistance and capacity of earth structures.
