Abstract :
An improved design is proposed for photonic crystal 90° bend waveguide. 2-Dimensional numerical simulations are carried out for single-line defect in metallic band-gap crystals in square lattice structure. A significant improvement is achieved in terms of transmission and bandwidth over 1 THz with the proposed design.
