Abstract :
We report on the THz spectral loss characteristics of porous subwavelength polyethylene fibers. Propagation losses (α<;0.04cm-1) were found to be comparable to non-porous fibers of equivalent diameter. However, the transmission peaks of porous fibers were broader and shifted to higher frequencies.
